Detect and prevent Dengue

It has been found out by the scientists of Washington that the outbreak of Dengue fever can be predicted in advance before 16 weeks. Dengue fever is caused by virus, transmitted from one person to another.
This is detected by using precipitation technique. Dengue is caused by mosquito bite.
Temperature and rainfall are directly related to mosquitoes. At higher temperatures, mosquitoes transmit virus very easily. During rainfall, breeding sites are more. They have better developmental stages when the temperature is high.
These two factors can be easily judged 2-3 months in advance. Therefore, at favorable temperature, the outbreak takes place.
A 25 per cent false alarm warning system has been set up to alert the local people about the outbreak of the disease.
Till now, there are no ways to prevent Dengue through vaccines. The only way to prevent is control mosquito population. Hence the multiplication of these mosquitoes are watched carefully along with the temperature and an alarm is given to alert people.
